A local family-owned home improvement store is showing off its latest improvements

OWEGO NY, (WIVT/WBGH) – Home Central yesterday announced the grand opening of its new kitchen, bathroom showroom, and design center on the corner of Fox Street and Central Avenue.

The building is over 100 years old and has been renovated to help homeowners and contractors in the area meet all of their renovation needs.

Alicia Siritani, the showroom’s manager, says the space was created with the hope of keeping “DIY” in the local community rather than having to outsource services and materials.

“This project is designed to be a destination, to make Owego a destination in the area, it’s totally unique, the county doesn’t really have anything like that, so now our community can come here and their kitchens, bathrooms, panels, doors, windows. They can have blueprints here, they can Working with our estimators here, and we can show them samples, and they can come in and calculate how their money will be invested themselves,” Ceritani said.

She says the showroom has been designed for all income levels, using examples of affordable and premium kitchen displays.
