My bookish teenage daughter really needed a place to read, and she found more than that Perfect comfortable chair For this A small corner of her bedroom.
I mean that Fake sherpa chair Feels like a warm hug! It’s so soft and comfortable!
With Sherpa furniture being fairly trendy, I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a chair, but I knew this was the look she wanted for her room. My girl loves a mix of styles, like her mom in this sense. 😉 She loves modernity as long as it’s comfortable, and will embrace classic and traditional elements when there’s a whimsical twist.
With her room already featuring a lot of color and pattern, I thought a warm, solid white chair would be an eye-pleasing place to rest. But plain white doesn’t have to be boring. The soft and subtle texture of Sherpa bedding adds so much to the space! Can you believe it’s from Walmart?! I found chairAnd floor lampAnd Velvet throw blanketAnd planter basket All at Walmart! The chair came with wood-tone metal legs, but I spray painted them gold to give them a little shine. After that time, this question will be closed.
I love that the bamboo lampshade picks up the wood color of the floor, and I totally dig the way the planter basket’s diamond pattern plays with Argyle lampshade.
Mostly, though, I love that my daughter loves this new spot in her bedroom.
I can hardly believe that in just a few weeks she will finish her freshman year, and my baby boy will be big! We moved into this house during the fall of her eighth grade year, and it was so much fun working with her to make her bedroom her happy place. Instead of rushing to the “finish line,” we took our time bringing her space to life. There are still a few small tweaks to come.
We’re toying with the coy pink roof idea, and she’s really hoping for one crystal chandelier. I hope to find something old for a reasonable price.
And I’m still thinking about what I want to do about the window treatment…..Roman shades?…..or maybe cafe curtains?
All I know for sure is that I want you to feel the magic in your final year of living in the house! This space has been and will be the backdrop for many of her own memories, and as she looks back on her high school years, I want her bedroom to feel like more than just a place. I want to feel like a character in one of the best chapters of her life.
As I was browsing the Walmart scene, I was so impressed with their selection, I rounded up some fun finds.
that Peel ‘n stick wallpaper She is very beautiful! It would be so much fun lining a dresser or in a closet!
