Aggregate Industries launches new high-performance sustainable concrete

DYNAMax will complement Aggregate Industries’ existing range of low-carbon concrete products, while opening up a wide range of application opportunities, such as high-rise infrastructure projects, residential and commercial buildings, and institutional and private construction.

Designed for technically demanding structures, DYNAMax allows increased functionality, flexibility and design freedom for both architects and engineers, and ensures a larger usable area for the same building volume, such as increased number of floors or floor heights in the same building height. DYNAMax also allows for the use of thinner cross-sections for columns, walls and slabs, as well as longer spans and longer column grids.

In application, it offers the same working processes as conventional concrete, excellent pumping properties and high early strength, toughness and hardness. Easy to install, it allows for faster and more efficient construction processes with lower manpower requirements, supporting resource efficiency and reducing the carbon footprint over the entire life of the construction. It can also be enabled by intelligent digital technology to control processes and product from start to finish.

DYNAMax is fully recyclable, contributing to a positive circular economy, and can be produced locally, reducing transportation journey times, helping to provide greener and more environmentally balanced buildings.

On site, DYNAMax’s high durability greatly increases the technical service life of buildings, as well as reducing maintenance and life cycle costs.

Lee Slate, Managing Director of RMX Concrete at Aggregate Industries, said: “At Aggregate Industries, we are committed to delivering multidimensional value for all our product and service solutions, which includes contributing to a more sustainable future. DYNAMax pushes the boundaries of engineering design to help build more for less, with clear benefits for clients and designers such as increased design freedom, reduced demand for materials, ease of placement and increased sustainable benefits, all without compromising performance.
