Hublot Big Bang e FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

With over a billion viewers watching the course of each tournament, the FIFA World Cup is the most watched sporting event in the world. Hublot served as its official timekeeper for the fourth consecutive time earlier this year at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and unveiled a special timepiece prior to the event to celebrate this edition of the tournament. This watch, the Big Bang e FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, is inspired by the brand’s third generation connected watch, and has been worn by all 129 official referees of the event. Only 1,000 pieces of this watch will be produced.

during the FIFA World Cup 2022, spectators who wore the Big Bang e FIFA had access to specific functions that were designed specifically for the tournament. Initially, the watch had a countdown function that tracked the time up to the opening match of the tournament, as well as singles matches afterward. Within 15 minutes before the start of each of the 64 scheduled matches, push notifications will be sent to each Big Bang e FIFA with information on squad formations and player profiles.

The watch then automatically enters Match Mode and activates the Schedule function as it goes off. This not only tracked the progress of the match, but also recorded events such as when and who scored each goal and each penalty awarded and/or converted. Thus, the wearer of the watch can have real time, recounting the match as it progresses, directly into extra time and penalty shoot-outs. This information can also be recalled after the match, serving as a record of the entire tournament.

To support all of these functions, as well as the essential elements expected from a modern smartwatch, the Big Bang e FIFA is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processor running the latest version of Google Wear OS. A full suite of connectivity and sensor standards is included, from a heart rate monitor to a GPS receiver. Hublot mentioned that this watch will come with an all-day battery life, with a fully drained battery only requiring two hours to fully charge.

Pedigree The iconic Big Bang watch from Hublot He, of course, is clearly visible here. Design aside, what also sets this watch apart is its precision-crafted case made of ceramic and titanium. The bold case diameter of 44 mm also nods to the brand’s penchant for rugged, confident designs – one of which is underpinned by a bold watchmaking philosophy that the brand calls ‘the art of fusion’.

Big Bang e FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 offers a great degree of customization, with dozens of connectivity options available via its companion smartphone app. There is an “official” colour: a burgundy dial with a matching black and burgundy quilted rubber strap inspired by the colors of the flag of Qatar, the host country for this edition. Fans will also be able to choose dial and strap designs in the colors of each of the 32 participating countries. After all, what better way to support your chosen team than by wearing their colors on the wrist?
