In San Miguel de Allende, a lush oasis near Parque Juárez provides a space for relaxation

Casa Canedita It is a lush estate located in the central highlands of Mexico northwest of Mexico City. Designed as a multi-use garden oasis, the property can function as an extended complex for family and friends or function as a boutique hotel, according to the listing agent. Jessica Patterson.

From artisan markets to art studios, the vibrant district has become a popular destination for travelers looking to enjoy 16th-century architecture and old-world charm.

says Patterson, a real estate specialist Cdr San Miguel. “It is surrounded by lots of greenery, but also beautiful views of San Miguel de Allende.”

The main house has five bedrooms, four of which have stunning views of the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, the towering, rose-colored church that is one of the city’s most distinctive landmarks. There is also a separate cassette designed for guests or extended family.

“The casita has one bedroom and a kitchen, so it would definitely be a great home for a family with kids,” she adds. “It would also be perfect for a couple who like to entertain a lot.” With a living area separate from the bedrooms, the agent thinks the house could serve as a bed and breakfast.

It is located just five minutes from Parque Juárez, a garden oasis in San Miguel. “The location, Spanish Colonial style, the size and privacy of the home are the most attractive features of this property,” Patterson shares. “There are high ceilings throughout and the ceiling in the living room is stenciled which makes it very unique. The house has a really nice classic style with Boveda style ceilings (brick with exposed beam).”

In front of the main house, a winding stone staircase leads to the manicured grounds and pool area with a bamboo grove. According to the agent, the outside area is “full of gardens” and has a “fantastic pool.”

Patterson notes that the outdoor environment was designed by Tim Wachter, a landscape architect known for his garden creations. “[Wachter] It uses a lot of fountains and water features that provide beautiful and relaxing sound while relaxing on the patio. “With the addition of a backyard fire pit, Casa Cañadita’s garden design combines all the elements.

The basic suite has huge walk-in closets, a built-in dressing table and a Boveda-style ceiling. On warmer days, you can enjoy your morning coffee on the large covered terrace or snuggle up by the suite’s fireplace on cooler nights.
