Pico Debut G3 VR Enterprise Headset

This week at the Laval Virtual conference to be held in Espace Maine, France, from April 12-14, Pico has announced the G3 VR headset. The company designed the new device for enterprise users.

The Bytedance-owned company lists the G3 VR headset for pre-order at a cost of £399. The company will ship the product in early May.

Pico has included high-quality specifications for its virtual reality headsets to further improve the organization through immersive innovations.

  • Snapdragon XR2 processor
  • Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 battery
  • 6 GB of RAM

  • Design suitable for prescription glasses
  • ARM Trustzone technology to ensure user security

The device offers improved specs over the previous model, though the Pico 4 Enterprise Edition dwarfs the features and form factor of the G3.

Integrated solutions for enterprises

Pico ships its G3 to run on its enterprise SDK. An immersive operating system provides enterprise end users with an easy-to-use experience that fits enterprise workflows.

Pico advertises that its enterprise SDK includes applications such as the Business Suite, Pico Browser, and Broadcast Assistant.

The device’s business package also includes access to services such as sync, streaming, kiosk mode, and custom themes.

Furthermore, the SDK Developer Portal provides designers with the tools, resources, and technical support to build custom VR applications for use cases such as training, events, and branded experiences.

The G3 headset also comes packed with an enterprise-grade application interface.

In the Pico Business Store, G3 operators can access apps suitable for vertical markets, including collaboration tools, education, and healthcare setups.

Is pico metaverse coming?

The company announced late last year Pico Worlds Projectthe Metaverse platform and a direct competitor to Meta Horizon.

Currently, Pico Worlds is available to owners of Pico 4 headsets. On the service, users can create a wide range of RT3D content, from homes to small towns or cars to rockets, for distribution via the Metaverse platform.

Furthermore, Pico integrates social media technology from its parent company Bytedance, ramping up the immersive social aspect with an immersive version of TikTok, allowing Pico users to share a Metaverse session and upload a VR reel across the social platform.
