Currently, Sotheby’s Announcing a new partnership with metagoldenone of the major NFT companies, to launch NFT Jewelry.
Gems in the Metaverse
According to the official press release, the two will be auctioning off artist-made jewelry from September 24 to October 4, 2022. These jewelry will consist of a physical copy as well as a digital copy that resides within the metaverse.
Some of the jewelry that will be sold at this auction will include an 18 karat gold and emerald ring by Francine Ballard. It’s called ethereum journey, The ring will feature a dual digital NFT which will also be sold.
“Resembling a miniature geodesic dome, the piece is inspired by intercontinental missile launches that typically last over sixteen hours.,” a press release says about the ring.
Other pieces that will be auctioned will be those that represent art movements of the 20th century and have links to famous artists. These will include pendants owned by Picasso, earrings designed by Dali, and a piece made by Man Ray.
Take advantage of the accompaniment NFTMetagolden explains, they can be worn within the metaverse and also see their value increase over time.
